One of my goals for this week was to try some different spaghetti sauce recipes. I found several on various recipe sites, but since I prefer to start with ones from people I know, I used one from an online friend, and it turned out great. I <3 cooking and people who share recipes with me.

Happy birthday, baby. I love you more than I can say, and I hope your day is wonderful even though you have to work late. xoxoxo
When I was stretching a few minutes ago, I noticed a medium sized brown spot on my arm. Apparently a chocolate chip from the granola bar I ate earlier got stuck to me and melted, so now I'm trying to figure out how many people walked through my office wondering if that was crap on my arm.
I can't seem to find the energy to do anything but sit here at the computer and browse. I can click through countless blogs, stores, comics, and forums, but I can't bring myself to get up and fold the whites that have been sitting in the dryer since tihs morning. Fucking useless.
Also, I just finished The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. It's a vampire book, a new spin on the well-worn Dracula legend, and she did an excellent job with the story. It's taken me a bit longer than normal to finish it because I haven't had as much time to read as I would have liked this week, and right up until the last page I was torn: I wanted to keep reading so I could finish the story and find out how it ended, but at the same time, I didn't to be finished with the book yet. I get like this with books I'm really enjoying - I want to sit down and read them all at once, but I'm also hesitant to do that because I want to draw out the experience and make it last longer so I can savor each part of the story.
